Description

A soluble powder in dissolvable sachets for drinking water for poultry (broilers, turkeys, and layers), intended to provide a source of live, naturally occurring microorganisms to maintain a healthy gut microbial balance. 

Contains a product-specific, spore-forming bacterium Bacillus licheniformis with a minimum of 1.6 x 1010 viable spores (CFU, colony forming units) per gram.

Action

B-Act water soluble powder (B-Act WSP) is a probiotic for adding to the drinking water of poultry, which induces a beneficial effect by improving and recovering microbial balance in the gut. 

Probiotic bacteria induce a direct effect in the bird by colonising intestinal mucosa and producing essential enzymes and cellular bioproducts.

Indication

To provide a source of live, naturally occurring microorganisms for stimulation of weight gain and improvement of feed conversion efficiency.

Dosage

Administer to poultry via drinking water for a seven day period.  One sachet (100 g) typically treats 20,000 chickens per day.

Prepare stock solution by performing the following steps:

• Add 1 sachet of 100 g directly into 10 L of water. Do not open the sachet. The sachet will
initially float, then sink to the bottom of the bucket and dissolve within 5 minutes.
• Stir the solution once sachet has fully dissolved, then B-Act WSP is ready to use in the
drinking water system.
Stock solution may be used for up to 2 days.

Good drinking-line management is advised for optimal results with B-Act Water Soluble Powder.

Special Precautions

B-Act WSP may be used concurrently with antibiotics, vaccination, water acidification or chlorination.

Store below 25°C away from direct sunlight. Avoid leaving pail open for extended periods of time.
