Gonadorelin acetate 50 μg / mL for injection.
Pack Sizes
Available in 20 mL (ten dose) vials and 100mL plastic (50 dose) bottles.
Action
Gonadorelin is a synthetic hypothalamic peptide analogue of gonadotrophin releasing hormone (GnRH). Gonasyn stimulates the release of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinising hormone (LH) from the pituitary gland. FSH stimulates follicle development and LH induces ovulation and luteinisation of the follicle. Stimulation of FSH and LH release by Gonasyn causes follicle maturation, ovulation and corpus luteum development.
Indication
In cattle, Gonasyn is indicated for oestrus synchronisation in anoestrous cows, ovulation synchronisation, prevention of delayed ovulation, fertility improvement, and the treatment of ovarian follicular cysts.
Gonasyn complements the use of the DIB-V (A10319) and DIB-h (A10832) progesterone inserts and Cyclase (A10490) in DIB-Synch oestrus synchrony programs, and also Novormon (A10641) in DIB-Synch Plus programs.
